Contact information you provide: name, email address, phone number, service address, and any details included in messages submitted via our contact form or booking form.
Account credentials: if you create an account to manage your subscription, we store your email and a one-way password hash — we never store or have access to your actual password.
Service and booking details: number of dogs, lot size/acreage, service frequency, and other details you provide when booking, so we can schedule and price your service accurately.
Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full payment card details on our servers and retain only transaction references for bookkeeping. See Stripe's Data Processing Agreement and Privacy Policy.
Usage data: technical information about how you interact with our website (e.g., pages visited, form submissions, IP address, browser type), used to maintain and secure the site.
When you enter a service address (for a quote or booking), we send that address to Google (Maps/Places APIs) to look up its location and offer autocomplete suggestions. We also query Cherokee County's public GIS parcel database using the resulting map coordinates to estimate your lot's acreage — this is a public government data source, and only coordinates (not your name or contact info) are sent to it. If Google is unavailable, we fall back to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim geocoder using the same address text.
We rely on contractual necessity and our legitimate business interests to provide services, manage payments, secure the site, and prevent fraud.
To request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data, contact us at contact@jjpetwasteservices.com; we will verify identity and respond in accordance with applicable law.
Retention: we retain customer contact records and related information until the customer terminates business with us; after termination we will delete contact records and information except where retention is required for legal, tax, or legitimate business reasons. Transaction records are retained for bookkeeping and compliance purposes.
Where things are stored: your contact submissions, booking details, and account credentials are stored securely on our hosting provider's servers. See Hostinger's DPA and Privacy Policy.
Payment data: held by Stripe under their policies; we store only the transaction references necessary for bookkeeping. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Security measures: TLS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls, and secure hosting to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you of the breach as required by applicable Georgia law and will take prompt action to secure our systems and prevent further unauthorized access.

Our website uses a session cookie to keep you securely logged into your account and to protect forms from tampering. We do not currently use advertising or analytics tracking cookies. Our site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may share your IP address with Google as part of that request. Disabling cookies via browser settings may affect site functionality (e.g., staying logged in).

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
